When I read Dr. John R. Lee's book: What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Menopause. I was stunned.
I had been taking the prescription drug, Premarin®, a synthetic estrogen, for a number of years. In the beginning because I had severe hot flashes brought on by early, surgically induced menopause and at the advice of two medical doctors who said it would protect me from getting osteoporosis. Everything I learned about the benefits of natural progesterone from Dr. Lee made me think he had written his book for me! I experienced dreadful cramps from the first menstruation to the last. Uterine fibroid tumors after two healthy babies, then early menopause, a fibrous breast cyst, then gall stones and gall bladder surgery, constant inching up in weight, no matter what approach I took to try to maintain weight. I now surmise my body has been starved for hormone balance since I was a girl. My advice to you, before you get there is: TAKE CHARGE! My body is no longer estrogen dominant. My hormones are in balance. I avoid carbonation and am conscientiously doing weight bearing exercises and increasing my calcium intake. I know I am reducing my risk of osteoporosis, (which I thought I was doing with the synthetic drugs) and I don't have any hot flashes even though I have stopped taking drugs. I use Balance Creme twice a day. I have no highs and lows, no headaches, and in general I just feel better. I couldn't be happier to be telling everyone about the wonderful benefits of the natural progesterone in Kokoro's Balance Creme. EG, New Hampton, Iowa |
